Briefly, to qualify for membership in the Blue Knights you must:
1. Have (or had prior to retirement) statutory power of arrest.
2. Be employed full or part time for a federal, state, county or municipal agency whose primary function is the enforcement of criminal, vehicle, traffic laws or is responsible
for the prosecution, incarceration or supervision of offenders or did so prior to retirement or separation for disability in the line of duty.
3. Receive monetary compensation for the above employment or retirement.
3. Possess a valid license to operate a motorcycle.
4. Own a motorcycle or plan to purchase one within six months.

4. SPECIAL HONORARY MEMBER (Chaplain or Medicine Man)
Any member who because of an injury or medical or physical condition is unable to continue riding a motorcycle, may retain his/her membership as a member provided they stay current with their dues and other obligations.

We meet the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post in Hanson (92 Robinson Road, Hanson, MA) or other locations as needed.
New members are always wanted! We are looking for active or retired law enforcement officers (have or had power of arrest) who own a motorcycle. You should like to ride and have a good time.

The Plymouth Police Working Dog Foundation is our charities. Here we present K-9 Officer Keith Larson with another donation of $500.
Chapter XIII hosted a Super Bowl party at Post 226 American Legion in Hanson to watch the New England Patriots take their 6th Super Bowl Championship. The Post hosts our monthly meetings and to say "thank you" we made three donations totaling $850 to Post 226, Squadron 226 Sons of the Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary Post 226.

It is our sad duty to report that Richard "Dick" O'Connell, long time President of Mass. Chapter XIII passed away on Nov. 10th after a lengthy illness. Dick was former Secret Service and retired from U.S. Customs & Immigration. In 2012, when the chapter could have folded, he stepped up and took the reins as President and helped rebuild it . He will be missed by all. Ride with pride Dick!
